ID:	69834Hey MH,
I bought a street fighter headlight off eBay to put on my sv1000 and stripped off my whole front end and not get to the connecting the light thing and might of bit off more than I can chew. Anyone willing to give me step by step what to do or maybe even come over and help. I would def compensate you for gas and whatever. My biggest problem is the new light has two wires and my oem headlight had 3. Second problem is I've never wires anything so I don't know I would be doing much good trying it myself anyways.

Thanks again,
Chris

I could be wrong, but I doubt that headlight has high/low beam, hence the 2 wires... just (+) and (-) wired in parallel.

From what I've heard the light also SUCKS as far as light output... so I doubt you want to wire it as 1 light low, both lights high beam.

Stock is 3 wires....
- Ground
+ Low Beam
+ High Beam

Wire (-) to (-) and then you'll have to choose if you want it turn on like your low beam, or turn on like your high beam. Voltage is the same... just high beam is on a switch.

...or quit now and buy a better headlight if you plan to ride at night.

Well I'm gonna try this light first cause I don't think it'll be that bad. But I guess I'm gonna have to hire someone to do it cause I can't figure it out

Bike wiring is color coded, get wiring diagram and connect ground(-) to headlight ground(-), then connect ethier high or low.beam to the other wire coming out of headlight, then start looking for a different headlight.when you realize.you can only see 10'feet in front of you.

In fact, you probably don't even need bike wiring.
What headlight bulb is it? Just google image search for that bulb number and "wiring". You'll get something similar to this...

connect
