Man, honestly I felt pretty OK all day. I wore the cycle gear heat out stuff, and it worked great. Drank water a ton the day before, and drank like two bottles after every session and two big Gatorades during the day.

I didn't have to skip any sessions, I dunno if I was just that stoked or the heat out really works that well.

Granted, I was tired as at the end of the day, and the entire next day.

That'd definitely be him then.

Wanted to say thanks for all the input during the day man, I had an awesome time and learned a lot. I felt a lot smoother by the last couple sessions. After seeing my pictures you were right, I wasn't getting my upper body off the bike enough at all, that's why I was scraping my pegs and boots all day.

Definitely plan on doing another Ride Smart TD.

Yeah man, my stuff did look kinda ragged at the end of the legs and sleeves by the end of the day. Doesn't seem like it's gonna hold up long.

But it did keep me pretty cool.

My pleasure man. It always feels like you're getting way off the bike, then you look back at the pictures and you're like 'he must have got when i was exiting the corner or something'...haha

You were doing pretty good out there. Your lines looked fine for the most part. IIRC, you need to work on your exit from the carousel. Don't be afraid to go out wide to set up for joe bone. Might think about toning it down just a bit and really focus on getting your body position down. Remember, when you get stuck behind slower riders - that's the perfect time to work on it.

Right before every session id put an handful (or two) of ice into the front AND back of my underarmor. It's amazing how much cooler, and clearer headed it keeps you.

Edit: it helps to have a chest/back pad to keep the ice from running into your legs/crotch- but that kind feels good too. I've def experienced over-heating before, but had no issues at all Saturday, knocked nearly 6s off PB.

i will try that ice thing out as well... i didnt want to get water on my actual heat out stuff, shirt or whatever because i didnt want my suit to get wet from the inside and it like make it dirty/nasty? But bluepine was throwing water on himself and i guess that doesnt make a issue? i was also going to the bathrooms as well, turn the shower head on to cold and dump my head in there. that helped out a lot, i was really ready for that last session... but someone had to take their helmet off

I also think the black gloss helmet i have absorbs heat like a oven, i took my helmet off one session and my head just started throbbing it was insane. drank a lot of water throughout the day for the most part.

I used a long sleeve under armor. Drank lots of water and chewed some of the Gatorade chews. I didn't get dehydrated but I still sat out a session because it was just so hot. I also used ice water to cool a towel and wrapped it around my neck. Just wanted to say thanks for everyone it was my first track day and I had a lot of fun. I'm already trying to move some money around to plan the next one!

I had a blast and definitely enjoyed MSRH. The heat was very hard on me though. I too need to work on my upper body position in order to get the bike more upright. I guess I need to slow it down and exaggerate this until its second nature.

In weather that hot, most of the ice/water is evaporating by the time the session is over. Doing things between sessions will cool you down then, but icing yourself/your suit is the only way to prevent overheating during a session. It sounds weird at first, but if you know anything about chemistry- water absorbs an enormous amount of heat as it melts/evaporates. Keeps your bksy temp lower, head clearer, slows exhaustion, and won't hurt your suit. Ice ftw
