03/24/07 GP Viewing Party - canceled because of NCAA!

I've been calling since last week to book a place for the viewing party.
Nobody gets back with me to let me know if I can have a spot on Sunday.
Turned out there'll be NCAA Basketball Championship Regional Finals from 2:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
We lost the race over stupid basketball.

I wish I had a big house with a big screen TV.
It'll be great if I could have you'll for the race and some BBQ.
But I live in a 750sqf garage apartment with a 27" TV, not to mention I don't have cables.

Sorry to say there won't be a viewing party this Sunday.
But the next race will be on April 22nd which falls on the same day as Ride Smart Grandsport Speedway trackday (well, if that happens ).
I'll see if we can have the viewing party at the track with some BBQ.
That'll be a fun event.

Otherwise, I'll make sure we have somewhere for the next race.
Thanks for reading.
Again, sorry about the race...

I've tried Vito's the first.
Called few times, they never got back with me.
They are in the progress opening another location, so I guess having a small group of people on March Madness wasn't their concern.

Well, here's an old college football game trick Ive used.
If you have enough people to pitch in, its totally worth it.

Go to Best Buy, and buy a giant TV. Take the TV home, hook it up an watch the race with all your buddies. Then, the next day, return the TV.
You will be stuck with a 15% restocking fee, but if you have 10 or 15 people pitching in, its a small amount.
$3000 TV, 15% restocking fee = $450.
$450 between 10 people is $45 per person to rent a big screen for a day.
Cheaper TV and/or more people will make it even easier.

We don't need you.
We just need your house.
We'll make sure to trash it real good, too.

Don't think we have a place and a speed channel.
Brilliant idea though.
