RC51 temp

Anybody here have experience with the RC51 SP2? Running pretty hot at the track and was hoping somebody had some experience with some of the cooling mods that are typical for the SP2. I have been looking at the SPAL fan mod.

Last session I pulled off the track and it was 250.....I shut it down for the day after that. Air temp was about 100 and I was pushing pretty hard

It cools right down when I am not moving but at track speeds/rpms the fans don't seem to be able to keep up. I took it out tonight to test the fans and they both work, and come when they are supposed to at about 220 and it cools right back down to 210.

Fans are not designed to work at speed. More for slower speeds and idle. Have you burped the system I know it can be a pain on those things.

fans need to be off at speed. they will restrict air flow if they are on. i used water wetter in mine and at speed it ran 180-190

Send a message via AIM to Scorpio
Put some of these radiator ducts on mine and temps went from 240ish to 160 when riding hard on the track.

Of course, they only help when you're moving.
Not cheap, but neither is a motor.

Or if you wanna go big baller, find a HRC front mount radiator. Might be hard these days.

ok so the 209 euro is for the not big ballers? I am looking at $40 fan for a fix, pretty sure I don't even want to consider any HRC radiator kits

I would suspect the thermostat not all the way open or restricted radiators. Especialy the fact that its running hot at speed.

Always check your basics first.
