Definately possible. Seen it done quite a bit....problem is unless you have some kind of intercom system to interface it to or setup your own helmet speaker and attach it to the detector you're never going to hear it.

Escort has a new 8500 out that has GPS in it so it increases decreases sensativity based on your sped, you can set "hot spots" by GPS for speed traps, and it remembers where false signals occured by setting a GPS location for them.

i know they have a wireless System for the radar i think its call H.A.R.D. You place a REd Led in your helmet that is in your view. when your radar goes off the led lights up indicating a cop is up ahead.

i got mine mounted on the windscreen....industrial velcro, hasn't failed me yet. i also used the hardwire kit (it's next to the radar), when i get a signal, that red light flickering is bright at night.
