I saw a test in RRW where the the Duc had the most HP, but it came with a full exhaust. Not sure why the RRW test did not use the BMW HP4.

there is absolutely no need for that kind of performance on a motorcycle, they should be outlawed!

As far as HP numbers, the standard S1000RR and the HP4 models make the same horsepower, the only difference is the ecu on the HP4 is programmed to make more torque in the midrange than the regular S1000RR.

I rode jimmy hp4 last Sunday... It felt so light almost like a 600 and so easy to turn in compare to ours. But the 2010 is still very badasssss!

Just finally watched it. Wow man that panigale is so sexy but its just not worth the money. That aprillia is a great looking bike but that HP4 is hard to beat. I think this video really helped me with picking my next bike.

I guess thats gonna be your next bike too Frank!

De-restrict the ZX10r (like mine)
Add some suspension components if you have da skillz to need them...
and pocket many thousands of dollars and you have THE WINNER with Japanese reliability.

All nice bikes...I loves my B&W !

I would love to get an HP4 used in a few years after I get my skills right on the Ninjette.

That's a bit of a stretch, especially since it wasn't considered in the shoot out at all but you can definitely get some Japanese reliability. Nothing is more sexy than the honda civic of motorcycles

I kid, I kid

Im "jonesing" for a S1000rr bad right now. Not real big on the colors on the 2013s though... I may wait and see what colors come out for 2014. I wish the graphite grey metallic wasn't matte.

Im not getting the HP4 but will get the abs/dtc and quick shifter options.

Watched this video last week, good stuff. The fact that the ZX-10R was the only bike compared to all these upgraded Euro models, says a lot. It's a great bike with good tech...best bang for the buck IMO...I love my 2011 ABS model
