Help! How expensive to fix this?!!

Saw a Yamaha R6 for sale, but the owner had dropped it.

How much would it cost to repair this.

ohhh that scratch... are you kidding me... you would want to fix that? first by fixing that weld, it would probably make the swing arm alot more weak....

you would be better off buying another one.

second.... who gives a ? i am sure you will drop it once day.

How do you bend a swing arm besides crashing? What else is wrong with the bike?

I agree with some of the other, how do you bend a swing arm from a drop? Granted we cant tell the degree/severity of the bend, but if its a nice curve in it I don't believe it was just dropped and may have other problems.

I wouldn't buy it just from looking at the pics you posted. That bike is filthy, looks like he been riding through cow pastures on it. You can tell allot by a quick glance at a bike if the owner takes care of it. You know he doesn't care about the bike, so I'm guessing there is more wrong than just the swing arm.

Seriously anyone that cares about their bike, keeps it maintained, part of keeping it maintained is keeping it clean and looking nice. That's just my 2 cents.

That's the exact same thing I was thinking.. That chain has probably never been cleaned or lubed. If the owner doesn't do these types of things, what makes you think they changed the oil on time etc..

Depending on his price who cares if he lubed the chain? You have to know the asking price before you worry about silly like lubing the chain or a bent swing arm.

not 100% true

I know many people that wash thier bikes every 3 months, but have maint. records like clockwork and have documented everything from bulb changes to major repairs. Date/what was done, mileage.

I am one of them.

My bike stays fairly clean, but there is dirt on it at all times, some just newer then others
