We are coming from Beaumont and plan on doing this. I trust it up there a lot more than a hotel.

Anyone know how much they charge to install a tire at the track? I'm trying to get an idea of how much cash I should bring with me. I know the suspension set-up is $30 right?

If you purchase from Alan (whoopie) I think the install might be included. So just look up the going prices for Dunlop tires and that'll give you the ball park fig.

And he should be able to take a credit card if you don't want to bring that much cash.

Suspension is $40. Whoopie (on here) is the tire guy. You can PM him to ask for sure. I know it's less when you remove the wheel yourself, and I THINK he doesn't charge for mounting when you buy the tires from him. Otherwise, I want to say $25ish.

EDIT: LOL^^^

Yeah, the original direction at MSRH was CCW (FL does this on occ'n, but it's almost always run CW now), so the corner numbers are "backward". You'll find that most ppl don't refer to the turns at MSRH by their numbers, but by their names. As many times as I've ridden/worked this track, I still have to stop and think which turn # is where when someone calls it by that instead of the name.

Names are "sugar n spice"--T17/16, "gut check"--T15/14, "the launch"--T12, "the keyhole"--T10, "bus stop"--T9/8, "sweeper"--T7, "diamonds edge"--T5/4/3, and "carousel"--T2, "joe bone"--T1. Only ones that doesn't have a name, and are referred to by numbers, are T-11, T6....in case you really want to put details to the track map you looked at.
