Mancuso HD

Best regards Team:

Yesterday went to Mancuso HD at 290 & Crossroads. They were having a "Tent" sale....

aab20019250

I was able able to sit on some very nice American IronHorse Choopers and also some heavily modified Harleys. Boy those things with the forward controls and the flat handlebar were very unconfortable...!!!! That riding position like "U" shaped must be a killing for long rides but nevertheless the bikes looked awesome.

Anyone else went there..????

What ticks me off is why those AIH Choopers are so expensive...???? Just because they are built "hand-made"...???? They surely look nice....but the perfomance you get do not justify the price.....also how they perform in "real life" riding conditions...specially in a city like Houston...????

I was sitting on the "Tejas" model and you are right that thing was heavy....!!!!!!

americanironhorse texas

I think I'll like to buy one of the new Buell Firebolts.....They are not land speed record breakers like the bikes, but for my kind of riding I think it will be OK....

Re: Mancuso HD

the AIH bikes are heavy and hard to turn around,,, periodically i get to ride those up to Vittos for bike night with AIH, i dont really like them b/c of there weight,, but the firebolt is a nice bike,, i have ridden one quite a bit when my sister owned one,,, it is light and nimble, not too fast but very fun to ride,,, i think you would be happy with one, if you decide to get one let me know and i'll talk to my B-N-L for ya...

Thanks Man...!!! I really appreciate the offer...!!!! She used to own one...??? Did she sold it..??? How it was maintenance wize..??? I know that in the Buell Firebolt there's no need for checking & adjusting the valves...also no chain = no adjustments and no cleaning/oiling.....!!!!

Regarding the AIH bikes I do not think those bikes were designed to turn ...!!!!!! :( I guess just straight line....??? What size are those rear tires...???? 300, 400...?????

Re: Mancuso HD

yeah she owned for about a year and then sold it,, she wants an R6,,, ( i told her no) maintanance was real low other than tires and oil the ususall stuff.. the AIH bikes run anywhere from a 280 to 320 tire.. and ive seen one with a 340 onit,,, that thing is huge.

Yeah Ed....!!! I'm aware of the "free" test ride but I'm afraid that after the "test" I'll buy the bike....!!!!! I'm kinda "easy" to convince regarding spending money....!!!!! and so far I have not being "cleared" by the wife to get another bike, buried in debt right now...most likely I'll buy the bike when I'm done paying the Miata.... :( still owe it and still owe the wife's SUV.... :( debt sucks......

Re: Mancuso HD

My little brother has a Superhawk 996 then traded in and bought an American Ironhorse...... I putted around on it for a weekend, thing felt like it was gonna pull my arms outta their sockets, was loud as f&#k, and a heavy too.... NOT worth that kinda money in my eyes, The Firebolt is one sweet little bike, and that short wheel base looks like its a corners worst nightmare
