He calls it a hostage situation. I keep him locked in the closet; I get him in there with a Klondike Bar - works every time.

So glad this is not another RIP thread. Could have easily turned out that way, good to see it did not.

I was at the wrong end of a drunk driver on a Silverado at a stop light once, I lucky to walk away as well.

heal up soon.

Yeah if that tundra would have hit me 1st instead of that other car and then i unfortunately got wrapped up in it! There is a huge chance I prob wouldnt be writing this and/or i garuntee id still be in hospital!

U know i had doubts about riding on the street again and just becoming a track instead....but...... i firmly believe when its my time to punch the ticket its my time PLUS im riding around on the 2nd fastest production bike made to date( you BMW HP4).

P.S. i dont think i could live my life 1/4 or 1/8 mile at a time! (in refference to the ghey' quote from vin desiel)

I don't want to post any details cuz I've been advised to get a lawyer by LOTS of people (even some motohouston members) and I don't want to burn myself. Alls that I will say is that it wasn't my fault and 2 drunk drivers were involved (that's right 2 of them in 2 separate cars).

I am not of the suing type and I'm not looking for money but I just want to make sure that was has been damaged and the time I'm going to miss is compensated for.

On that note I was thinking of using Jim Addler if anyone has any suggestions on who they have used(or if they have used him) please feel free to PM me or post in this forum if you feel comfortable doing so.

Thanks to all once again.

Any civil lawyer will do just make sure of the terms of the financial stuff. Remember the money agreed upon is not whats goung your pocket. Lawyers will want their share usually 30 to 40 percent. Jyst ny two cents

i tried to get the bike from the cops/tow truck but they kept sending me back and forth. Everyone was saying something different, me off. I had the trailer ready on the side, hauled to get there before they would tow it and still they made it impossible for me to get it from them.

Okay so i went back and ACTUALLY FOUND THE SD CARD that flew out of my go-pro.

So i just got back and tried to watch it and file said it was corrupt.
So i put back into go-pro and a weird fixing screen came up. So i just hit a button and turned camera off.
Loaded sd card back into computer and vid worked!
Then i scrolled to the end and 10secs before the wreck happened the video started OVER!
Meaning it wasnt on there.
ARE YOU F'ING KIDDING ME!

Two things could have happened 1.batt went dead or 2. When it fixed the file it cut off the ending.

Does anyone know how to dabble in pulling the files that might have been deleted?
If the FBI can do it surely someone knows someone who can help me out!

I am needless to say!

If you are involved in an accident and it is not your fault, you are better off keeping the bike where it landed. Let the police figure out what happened. You will still be able to get your bike back, the guilty can be made to pay the charges and you will not be destroying any evidence that is needed. Let due process take over.

Only looked at the pics,
but from the sounds of it you sound lucky to have came thru relatively unscathed (all things considered)

were you solo out on the road,
you mentioned a slew of people who helped were they riding aside of you or did this happen and they came afterward?

Im just trying to visualize the scene as it went down,
although i think i have a pretty good idea of what it takes for a drunk idiot to cause a 3+ car wreck.

hopefully this wasnt his first (seems like its prob not) can you believe drunk drivers get not 1,2, but 3 strikes before REAL jail time starts to happen...

you may have implied this in your post but it depends on how dangerous the scene is. You should carry a disposable in your trunk to take pictures of the incident from every best angle you can for instance if your bike is in the middle of the freeway then if ur lucky enough to have help, move the bike off the road or if its very dangerous just leave it and get the off the overpass or where ever you likely are....If this happened on a side road of a suburban neighborhood i'd prob leave the bike in the road til an officer could come inspect.
