Drunk driver hits motorcycle wreck 290

happend about a couple hours ago.. just got home. incident happend coming off of 610 and onto 290. driver of a newer truck, fairly large sized i think it was a tundra too dark couldnt see. driver was wasted is a understatement. motorcycle was involved (motohouston member) also another vehicle got smashed up pretty well, nissan xterra or something.

rider is alive, heard something about a broken shoulder .. in ER i think at the i10 and gessner, driver obviously arrested..

Any idea who it was? Or what the bike was? HPD called it a major collision with no fatalities, thankfully.

Glad you're ok buddy. Accident on the freeway with a drunk driver is usually fatal. You were probably wearing gear. Heal up quick!

glad you are alive man ... i saw drunk driver and motorcycle automatically bad images... heal up man... go to court to make sure his gets punished and take his insurance for everything you can get.

That being said I have driven under the influence and if I did this I would expect to raked over the coals. These days I might have a beer or two when I am driving and that is it. Too many lives used on this cat life in my 20's ... drinking and driving is not worth the consequences... DUI .. hurting someone or killing them.

wow, glad to hear that you are okay. I live close to there and take that area frequently in my Ford Ranger, and that is nerve wracking enough. Someone under the influence could easily get confused, and did obviously. So glad you are not a life lost, as with others I am sure you have seen reported. Now go play the lotto, I can't remember if it's Powerball or MegaMillions tonight.

Good you're mostly okay. That section of 290 and 610 is bad even during daytime.
