, that was a bit of bad luck!!

one time a couple of years ago I was out road riding on my bicycle on FM 517 near Dickinson TX and a cold front came through with strong winds. I had to stop to fix a flat tire and about a quarter mile down from me in between a stand of trees I could see cars stopped in both directions. As I was finishing up the flat repair, a guy on a bicycle rode up to me from that direction and I asked him what had happened. Seems he was riding along and A TREE FELL ACROSS THE ROAD ONTO HIM pinning him beneath the tree! He could not get out by himself either. I asked him if he was OK and he said "yeah, I'm scratched up but my brand new bicycle came out ok - I would have been if it had damaged it". This was a large tree that covered most of both lanes when it fell. Lucky sumbeech.
True story I swear....

Did they catch the Kuala that did this? Must have been off at all the loud motorbikes that don't observe the big "SLOW" sign painted on the road. Kualas sleep most of the day and don't like to be buzzed.

His tire pressure must have been off. Dam that does suck. How unexpected!

walk it off
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

yeah. I thought it'd be like riding with a condescending rossi.
