Motorcycle crash leaves 1 dead, 1 critically injured

A pedestrian died and a motorcyclist is in critical condition after a collision in Harris County last weekend.

The incident happened about 8:45 p.m. Sunday in the 600 block of Magnolia Ave., according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said Paul Griffin was driving a blue 1999 Suzuki motorcycle westbound on Magnolia while Josh Coleman and a group of other people were walking eastbound along the side of the road.

Witnesses saw Griffin driving at a high rate of speed and popping "wheelies" as he traveled toward the pedestrians, deputies said.

Deputies said Griffin hit Coleman, who ended up in a ditch along the roadway. Griffin fell off his motorcycle and landed in the middle of the road.

Griffin then got up and stood his motorcycle up. He walked away pushing his motorcycle without helping Coleman.

Coleman was flown by LifeFlight medical helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he later died.

Griffin was later found at East Houston Regional Hospital and had injuries consistent with those expected from the crash. He was flown by LifeFlight medical helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital and was in critical condition.

Usually, I'd want him to live with the guilt of killing another innocent person, but he doesn't sound like the type to have a conscience.

him.

squids! RIP to the innocent.

However, I'm left wondering how do you go from standing your bike up and walking away to being life flighted in critical condition? I'm no doctor but that seems odd to me. I want to know details of what happened after he walked away. I've heard of people with serious head trauma do weird . Weird as in normal tasks unexpected for the scenario.

Watched a show about a guy who was attacked in his house and took an axe to the head. Guy was left for dead. Despite his massive head injury, he went outside, checked the mail, came in and started making breakfast or something like he was starting his morning routine and then feel dead. I'm not saying this is the situation.
