I can't speak for anybody else, but you can take a friggin hike and get the off this board...
Well said, or ride at the track and forget about lame state inspections and bike insurance.

Then please enlighen us as to what would change the fact that you can afford to pay cash for a bike and not be a responsible enough person to maintain liability insurance?

If you cannot afford a bike, insurance, and gear, you cannot afford to ride. Period.

in short...the two main reason why i do not have insurance on this particular bike is b/c...
1. my school tuition has gone up by quite a bit within the last year because i am finishing my final years/ business courses and tuition in general has gone up.
2. 21 and living out on my own, paying all living expenses (rent, food, etc) with no parent support.

with being a full time student taking 18 hrs this semester, and only working part time (due to the amount of time school takes up) money is basically really tight right now and i am not really into getting loans. and since i do not get to ride much, did not really see a point to get insurance for the price that i would have to pay for it and just use the money to pay for full coverage for my car because that gets used a lot more than the bike.

Money will always be tight.

Sounds like you just need to sell the bike. Go buy a dirtbike and take it to the track or something.

i have been thinking about selling my bike (but have invested too much into it already) or either make it into a track bike (but do not have the money for that right now). and i like having the option of taking the HOV when i need to go to school early or during traffic hours.

and by posting this thread on this forum, i was just hoping that someone would know something about where to go. but it is all good.

There's an inspection station on just about every corner. I doubt anyone here is gonna help you scam the government for an inspection sticker. Good luck to you though.

Have you tried talking with your car insurance provider? You can probably add the bike as a recreational vehicle for pennies.

Assuming you have a good driving record.

Of course, what you save on no insurance goes out the window with the first no insurance ticket or heaven forbid accident.

And this is supposed to be a good reason why you have no insurance???? If it's money you need, work more. I did 18 hours for 2 years (most was 22 hours, no bs!) while working 40 hours a week. So I know it's possible... that's all fine and dandy that you are taking care of yourself like every adult should be doing, (no I'm not giving you "props" for doing what you should be doing anyway) but if you're tryin to make yourself look responsible, you are not doing so! As stated before, get insurance or shut up... insurance is no more a part of the cost of riding than a helmet is...sure you don't have to have either to ride, but your world will suck when you get caught without either one!

SUCK IT UP....get insurance or keep ridin' dirty until you get caught, plain and simple.

yea so im confused... u are willing to pay to get a inspection sticker but not liability insurance? u dont have to get full coverage.

u could even buy it and cancel it if u are super cheap. i seen plenty of cheap bikers do that.
