Make sure you look into a good insurance policy coverage. If you have trouble in that department you may consider asking the track at which you would have the most interest in your venture to guide you in acquiring such coverage.

Personally I would not charge any more then $30 per hour and maybe a post entry fee of say $40. You want to fill your grid not limit it. Speaking of a limit of teams you may want to have a cap max limit of number of teams for your total grid.

Four or five season's ago at MRS Cresson on the 1.3 mile course there was a CMRA / TMGP crossover 6 Hr. endurance. I recall 52 or it may have been 54 teams took to the starting grid. Man was it a busy track, but it was a very exciting race. Granted there were a four of the mini division classes out there at the same time but just the same a great race. Even several of the big bike endurance teams riders who were later racing on the 1.7 mile course were very impressed.

As stated in an above reply.

Set a healthy Purse that pays at least down to 20th or even 30th position. Yes, really this is the key to participation. Like Jerry McGuire...........Show me the money I will be competing for.

Portable lighting is something to look into. Mostly to be placed into the darker parts of the track.

Staff or event crew. I know you can make that list.

Funding; Event sponsorship to assist with your staff expenses, track rental, insurance. Consider using 12% to 14% of those funds cover those costs. 50 to 53% of those sponsor funds for your purse. But, above all use at least 35% of those funds to market the event itself.

This is what most all dirt track Sprint Car Series such as ASCS, USAC, and WoO sprint car sanction bodies set their budgets and event purse payouts for their series.

There is more I could throw up on here but for now that should get you thinking. TJ.

i defintely say REQUIRE a CMRA/WERA/CSS license to do this it will be safer then having the lvl 1 guys or street guys get on the track and get passed to closely and cause them to wreck/run off causing more danger to others.

i for 1 am DEFINTELY in if this happens.

+1000000000 for GSS as venue

maybe do 12hr saturday + 12hr sunday (like race of lemons does) this way teams could work on their bikes over night instead of 24hrs of who's motor will actually last that long.

it would be a fun race for sure. maybe have 1 class for 250's one class for F5 TMGP (wink wink) i'll race both.

also make sure it's not before august the heat will KILL PEOPLE for that kinda race it would be to brutal on racers/spectators and bikes would be destroyed.

i'm stoked to see where this goes. good idea bud

So far... Cresson will not allow an event like this.

ECR would allow it if we provide lighting.

Working on contacting GSS to work that out though GSS does not have proper facilities....

We should allow people with out a license to race with references. I like idea of spliting it into two days with time to work on the bike in between. If some one wrecks out the first day they have time to get back into it by the start of day two.
