Noob-Moderate Paced Ride, Saturday June 8

This will be a Saturday morning noob-moderate paced ride through some back road twisties. No one will be left behind and we will stop at every major intersection to wait for everyone to catch up.

Meet spot: The shell gas station on 242 and 45
The address: 8001 Texas 242
Conroe, TX 77385

Meet time:8:30AM
KSU:9:00AM

Some Basic Rules:
  • Must Have Gear: jacket, helmet, gloves.
  • Extra Recommended Gear: ridding pants, full leathers, back protector, knee guards, boots.
  • Bike needs to be insured and in riders name
  • An ICE(In Case of Emergency) card is recommended
  • We will ride in staggered formation until we reach the twisties.
  • No passing in corners
  • Ride in your comfort zone
  • There will be no excessive speeding, lane splitting, stunting, and/or any other "dangerous acts" on this ride to make it more comfortable for everyone.

As of right now there is a 20% chance of rain, if the percentage goes up past 40% I will probably cancel the ride. I will be watching the weather closely.

Each individual is personally liable for his/her participation in this ride.

Hope to see some old and new faces

Im going to try to make it a weekly ride if I get enough support/riders that go. I have just notice a lot of new riders have joined and when they go on these faster paced rides things can happen way faster than a new rider may be ready for.

Also so this would be your first group ride?

You should probably mention gear unless you don't care about it. Otherwise, you're gonna get a bunch of squids. Just a heads up. I'd be down if I didn't have to work saturdays!

I remember when my bike was in the shop, I was calling up there everyday to see if it was ready. You should check out some of the meets people have to meet so very cool people.

Thanks, I added that. I know how it feels to work every Saturday, I just got my Saturdays free, still have to go in on sundays though

Group rides are a lot of fun. It sometimes more fun to ride with people than by yourself.

Total distance about 150 miles. And its about a 2 1/2-3 hours depending on speed. Its Willis to Cleveland and back. I don't know all of the routes to Livingston yet but have seen what seems to be nice roads on a map depending on traffic, and if its residential or not. If you know some routes/roads I would be happy to let you lead us from Cleveland to Livingston if everyone agrees.
