Learn to ride on the of your feet, grip/support your body by squeezing your thighs on the tank, and support your upper body with your core (abs). There should be little to no weight put on the handle bars.

Sorry to thread jack, but is there a certain amount of miles to ride before doing a suspension set up?

miles on the bike. It barely has 150 miles. I know the new suspension is still stiff, so will it need to be re setup after it breaks in?

I don't think so, but you could ask a MH sponsor that does the work

I had 200 miles on my cbr when i had it done for my first trackday. It could have been all in my head, but it sure seemed to make the bike turn in easier.

He was asking if he needed to have it set up twice, now when new and then after some kind of "break-in" period

Thanks buddy!

A basic suspension setup can make worlds of a difference to some, and to others, they might not even feel the difference. What a suspension setup does though, is BALANCE your machine from front forks to your rear shock, so they work together as one. It also keeps your motorcycle's tires planted on the ground. Though it is not a necessity, it is highly recommended. It also plays a huge part on tire wear as well. Many things come into play.

We offer basic suspension setups at no charge to our customers and potential customers. It is a complimentary service we offer. That being said, it is also done by appointment. So please call and make sure we will be available during the time you decide to visit us, and we'll be glad to get you setup.

Thanks!
Tony
