7.48 Ti valve shims...whos got em?

I don't know which sizes I need yet but I imagine quite a few will be the same so I'm not gonna buy a kit with 3x each size...I've bought from Motorcycles Unlimited before and willing to do so again, but it looks like I am going to need all 16 so it's going to be a bit pricey this go round...would anyone offer a discount for exchanges?

I have the standard 7.48....minus the 1.85 (used them all).

from 1.25 to 3.xx.

You can break out the sandpaper too if you need to.

P.S. Is this on the new green machine? If so, I doubt you will need any adjustments.

Sweet...They were all tight, I checked the clearances on Saturday. I am going to pull the cams tonight and figure out what sizes I need

Yeah tell me about it...I actually just called your shop

As much as I want to get them all today, I may just order a Hotcams refill kit and a separate 5 pk on amazon for about half the price I'd be paying locally

LOL,

I just realized I told you caliper...I meant micrometer.

If anyone else plans on doing your own valves, may I suggest you get a decent micrometer. If you need to sand down shims, it will benefit you.

HB has a couple that are not too bad, accurate for the most part.

I had to open a couple of them to make sure they worked properly.
This one:

I got that one ^, because I was in a lazy mood, and this is a tool I only use every now and again.

This one would work too:

Fwiw I wouldn't recommend sanding down shims.
First of all you're almost guaranteed not to get it perfectly flat and keep the surfaces perpendicular. That can cause valve stem and bucket issues.
Second most shims are either surface hardened pr uard anodized. Sanding them can remove that.

Gary,
They didn't tell me that you had called.
Shoot me a pm with what you need.

Thanks Patrick, I originally wanted to get all the shims yesterday but I ended up buying a hotcams kit. While my bike is still all torn apart, I am going to do some more maintenance while I wait for the parts to come...I'll likely need the leftover shims in the kit for my 30k valve check in about a year or so from now....

To make a long story short, that was a fun re-learning experience. Huge thanks to Patrick 351Fox for getting me on the right track and helping me a few hours on Thursday night...I needed a refresher course
