Then he looks back confused that you're still right with him. He could swear he left you behind on that last straight....priceless

I ride an SV myself so I know how it is. I was as bad as the guy on the motard before I went to level 3. Noobs spook too easily.
Yeah, I moved to level 3 early this year because every track day was like that all day in level 2. Can't catch them on the gas, idle through the corners. At least this guy had pretty good lines and body position. Just needs more corner speed. But for COTA, I took what I could get since I wasn't able to sign up when it originally went on sale. If not for backing off to keep a 6-foot buffer I'd probably have been around him early. I still had fun. I only wish that I could have gotten one open run through the s-turns without catching somebody.

However, I just got my CMRA application submitted and approved, so in a couple of months when I get to actually race, I'll probably get my handed to me by some other SV's. No more excuses for horsepower! lol

Wish I didn't have to miss this event. Sounds like a great track.

Now, please proceed with the smack talk. It's the only thing that kept me reading this long..

Well, hopefully I was easy to pass due to my lines at least. On each session, I think that at least 10 people would pass me, but it was probably actually more!

It is called "Track Tactics Track Days" and was started by Ty Howard, who has since recruited Thomas/s and Brandt/cdill away from Ridesmart. They do have some top notch people there (in addition to Thomas and Brandt), and top notch prices to match due to smaller grids. But, July is a good opportunity to get a great deal. But then that may be it and then you continue with who you can afford. I should say "who I can afford".

So definitely going to sign up for TWS (Texas World Speedway) with 3T.

Didn't see any mention of Ty teaching his trademark classes anymore......I've been waiting like ten years to get fast enough to be ready for the class & now he's not teaching? Sounds just like my luck.

Rode L1 on Sunday, smoothest pavement I will ever ride on. Won't be going back, just cost to much. Session 5 I got to pushing and shoving with a blue SV650, you ran off the track in turn 10. Man I hope you enjoyed that as much as I did.
Thanks.
