If it is a bent / broken rod, your best bet would be to install a used engine, try some of the bike salvage yards here in Houston or on the web.

IMO first I'd see what happens with the dealer, it may be a moot point.

If he is isn't a mechanic and is only consigning these bikes then he probably didn't know that what he believed to be a carb prob was actually an engine problem. The original owner could have beat the bike to death and then sold it to the dealer knowing it was about to go.
There is always risk in buying anything used, especially a sportbike. Hope it works out for ya.

Yes... that is a great start. Just got off the phone with brandon and It hopefully will be resolved with no issues. He seemed sincere in it and is being very helpful with the issue. I'm more than willing to work with someone that wants to work with me and it seems that way. I will let everyone know how it works out and if everything goes smoothly. Also would like to thank TLLuver for his time on this issue aswell. Thanks to the both of you in helping resolve this issue.

P.s. Sorry to whoever was looking for the plastics.. I like that bike and don't want to get rid of it. Good luck with your hunt though. I will keep an eye out for ya.

I will check it out for free and let you know what it needs. Then you can get with Brandon and I am sure he will work something out with you.

Brandon normally goes way above and beyond as far as taking care of his customers.

Thats what it's really looking like. He is being very helpful about the whole issue and is really going beyond my expectations on this. Man.. i hope it's like you said and nothing huge. I've been dying to own my own bike and having 2 kids and a fiancee to deal with before i can get my pleasures makes life that much rougher. I had to bargain with her to get it... she got a wedding dress and i got my bike. Seemed like an even trade. :P Anyways... thanks a millon man and look forward to hearing from ya soon. By the way.. i told him i have both side plastics taken off (did so i could make sure nothing went through the block) but if you need them back on let me know so i can do that right after work today. Also, I wanna talk to you about diff bike that needs to be fixed. Its a honda shadow 600 (if you deal with those).

Ps. Nice pit.. mine is less mean looking and is extremely retarded. I think she ate to many paint chips as a puppy. much smaller too.

Money talks and walks with that man. Follow the golden road paved in oil. This is a topic i've discussed a million times on other forums. Agreed totally.
