i find it hard to believe the kid wrecked it in a dealer parkinglot at 50 mph into a wall...and somehow the forks and front wheel weren't bent?
i saw a 06 1k go end over end after crashing in the buzards neck at msrc and thats a fast corner. the only damage was the the frame. every thing else was fine

I've seen a number of GSXRs and R6s with broken frames.
Honda and Kawasaki frames have held up pretty well compared to the others, although the 636 has had sporadic transmission issues so we chose not to race one again this year. Good bike though.

yeah, my 636 tranny doesn't like me sometimes. :BangHead:

oh yeah, GO HONDA!!! LOL

Welding reinforcement should subtract $2k from the GSXR's price tag due to design flaw. Thought Suzuki had a recall on these? As for repairing/Gussting; if it's a bootleg weld or inexperienced welder the problem will just be made worse. I know of maybe two people that I trust for Aluminum welding, even then I don't know if they would tackle it.

I agree on the F4i's and Kawasaki 636's holding up well, Stunters love the F4i's for the same reason.
