FYI, here is a screen capture of what comes up from a Google search:
Screenshot2013 05 29at63529AM zpsb9773fde
Granted, I made the search a little more specific by using the word "wakeboarding" to get this post in a general Google search but there it is. Anybody can read what you are attempting. This forum requires a log in to participate, but not one to search, it is public. There are other ways to get this info without posting this question publicly, the first Google search I did with "fake knee injury" provided a lot of offerings. (funny that it's actually Thumper's post with "" in it that is previewed

just ask your Dr if he will prescribe some. You don't have to fake it. Maybe I just have a cool Doc. But if I told her I was going to do some serious wake boarding and was worried about my knees, she would prescribe it.

LOL

I just got a Don Joy PCL Brace, almost $1k. Insurance covered it 100% only because I had just had knee surgery.

You can buy some braces for a few hundred dollars, I will be buying some for when Im ready to go back out to the track as I dont want to mess up my knee again.

a fella I know got an ortho to perscribe nice knee braces as "insurance" to his health provider. He sold them on, "it's not if I tear my knee, it's a matter of when I'm going to tear them up". Not sure how legit that was, but it is doable. He faked nothing....simply asked for them.

Do you know if anyone wears these while riding at the track? I have one but cant see it being comfy or even fitting under my leathers. Sure it would also be hard to grip the bike.
