Deer-Trashed 500r update:

Started with this.
20130511 181514 zps1520a939
Found a minty 07 with a blown motor. So, we decided to swap in my good engine into the new bike.

So far after a couple hours we are ready to drop.

sweet! Glad you found something to remedy the "problem". After several nights in the garage up until midnight or later doing maintenance ......I do not envy your project!

deer hunter would be a sick name for the bike (w/ decal)

i am jealous though, i wish i was atleast able to observe you while you transplant that engine.

im curious just how the motor mounts attach to bike frames, although the frame in the ninja 250/500 is more like a cruiser right? with the single or twin cradle around the engine vs. say the engine as a stressed member of the frame which is more common on todays street bikes

It should have been finished over the weekend but between MH bbq and Chris' work habits, it is only half done.
