Rider needed COTA

One last try. Looking for fellow rider to possibly ride RZ500 at COTA. Broke my hip and gave up my 2 spots. Looked for him at TWS (Texas World Speedway) yesterday and asked several instructors if they new him. No luck. Thank you Rod and Myla for help and understanding what I was trying to do. If I can not ride bike I would at least like to see it on the track for a session and get video. Possibly only RZ500 to ever be on track. The other rider rode Aprilia 250 two stroke and now rides a R1 in level 2 with Ridesmart. He would understand two stroke quirks and power band. I have talked with him at 4 or 5 track days but bad with names and never put in phone. Any help appreciated, just respond to post.

Well i am experienced with 2 strokes and their quirks. But I don't think I would feel comfortable riding someone elses ride at a track I haven't driven yet ( got to go on a ride along at V8 Supercar weekend, Thank you Roush Yates).

I could stomach an accidental off track experience on my own vehicle. But letting down someone else. I don't think I could do it.

RingDingDing might ride it if you contact him. I am not sure if he is going to COTA but he got his screenname from his love of 2 strokers.

Thanks all. No, not looking for talent. Have met Dinosaur a few time and looked at set of leathers he had. Too much weight for suspension set up. The rider has a black R1 and he has had it a year or so. Reason I was looking for him was he rode his Aprilia for a long time and is my weight so suspension should not need a lot of tweaking. I was sure he would of had a spot at COTA. I would hate to see my bike crashed but I felt confident with his abilities to be safe. I would be nervous riding a strange bike anyway so do not think he would push it too hard. Suspension and brakes are all 2006 R6, shock is upgraded, forks were upgraded by P1 Racing, and brake are new EBC Contour rotors with matched sintered pads. Handles and stops well. Thanks Rod, and my brother still laughs about your comment while at lunch Monday. People like you and Myla make these events even more fun. Looking like no RZ time at COTA. Tick tock, tick tock.

Hi Paul! Thanks..and yet you still won't let me be the one to take it around! (j/k...I'm afraid I would blow the engine, I really wouldn't know how to finesse it)

You should visit anyway, with the bike, you never know!

I can vouch for this guy! He is a great rider and someone that can ride just about anything! He might be a little Kraze but he will take care of your baby.

Kris will do your RZ500 justice. He rides the snot out of his R1, R6, and new MV Agusta and instructs with me at Fastline. Super fast and smooth. He rode his 250 two stroke as a regular streetbike in Sicily for a couple of years.

Thanks all. Sorry for slow response but internet at office only and password was not on phone. I will contact Kris. I need to confirm that everyone realizes that I had to give up my spots and who ever rides will need to have registered for COTA. I was just hoping to have mine ridden for a session or two. Please no wide open on back straight or I will have a scattered engine. Front straight will be OK but will need to watch rise at end of straight. Could be a bad spot for seizure.

Instructors can chime in.
I understand the bike will need to go through tech inspection, then the other rider will put his sticker on the bike and another disclaimer will need filled out for my bike.
