I paid $9002 for my Busa, out the door, new, in the the middle of winter, and I picked it up 3 months later, no extra charge. Rode it to Texas.

GSXR1000 07 is 10,399

06' is 8,999

I recall they were willing to ship for $500 forward air to a terminal is Houston.

bottom line is: some dealers will deal and some won't. Those that take trades usually don't haggle because they might end up not making any money on the trade-in. Shop around.

you are aware that price/value varies depending on zip code, right? Take that into account when considering buying ANYTHING! (house, car, bikes, food,ANYTHING)

There's a big difference in that argument. BK will charge you the price posted on the menu, plus the sales tax for the area. They won't throw in hundreds of dollars of misc charges and fees and try to milk you for every penny you have.

As far as how one dealership can give a great OTD deal and another won't budge on the price, I believe you have to look at the location of the dealership. If you want to buy in a big city, they probably won't deal much because their odds of selling it for a much larger profit are great. Now, if you go to Billy Bob's Suzuki out in the boondocks who's sales consists of mostly ATV's, dirt bikes and some cruisers, you're bound to get a better deal on a sport bike because they probably only sell a few a year and they'll get rid of it to make room for another ATV. It all comes back to that simple economic concept of supply and demand.

An out of state OTD price doesn't include TT&L, which must be paid here in Texas when you register the bike.

Don't forget those are 07s at a dealership that is right near the best cycle roads in the state, and the spring riding season has just started. They will sell everyone of those for MSRP.

FYI, I went to Eximport cycles in Houston, got an '06 Busa with 681 miles for $8900. I think that's pretty fair.
