Noob to bikes, call me bones.

Howdy guys, Im bones and alot of you know me from HI. *Just wanted to introduce myself, and state that I dont have a bike yet, but I will be riding soon. *I am registering for the Awsome cycles course in a few weeks, which I am excited about. *I know its a poor choice to get a bike before the course, but I have found a mint Triumph Bonneville (77). *It has been upgraded with alot of features to get it up to todays standereds (Electronic igntion, new wiring harness, new amals) and is a fairly reliable one kick bike. *Ill keep everyone updated. *Thanks to all the guys with expiernce, the articles posted on here have been extremly helpfull. *

Re: Noob to bikes, call me bones.

The sol, right now is in need of some serious cosmetic work. I started in with the body filler myself, but it got to thick for me too trust, so I bougt a repacement panel, so I right now I just need to bring it into a shop and do it. Other than that, its just got a nice sterio (alipine face, coaxials, and type r components with 400x4 cheap amp), and wheels. Ill talk to you this summer when I have a driveable VW.

It is classic, but with the modifications made to it, it needs alot less work than off the show room floor. Its got electronic ignition, o-ring chain, oil cooler (for those hot houston days), progresive suspension, and alot of other little doo-dads to make it more reliable. The current owner used it as a daily for 9 months.

I try to stay old school, although the ghia is a 71, which realy isnt to old school, however both the ghia and the bug were built around 50's styling, making them a good candidate for old school type stuff. I dont want to say its gonna be a rat rod, but thats what most people will think of when its done. Satin two tone paint, slam the back, maybe airshock the front, rollin on moon discs and white walls. Oh, and maybe a roof wrack with a nice graffitied up ice chest and skateboard.
