I just think it's ironic that one of the most controlling states (Cali), lane splitting is allowed... but in one of the states where people have the most rights, it's not.

You've got the freedom to do be as dumb as you want by riding w/out a helmet, but you can't "safely" filter to the front of a red light.

I was one against lane splitting until about a month ago, mainly because like everyone else I thought it was in moving traffic. Ignorance on my part, but after doing more research its a no brainer. Funny, I talk to cagers and when I can and when you present it logically they see the point.

I think it makes sense only if traffic is stopped at a red light so that you're not sandwiched between cars, but not during rush hour traffic.

Too many angry people out there who will think you're cutting the lines.

I remember being in Laguna a few years back in traffic, and a big group of bikes came flying through lane splitting, we all agreed they would be dead in Houston traffic because of the mentality of Houston drivers......

Why dont you guys spend your time doing somthing about texting while driving. Nothing like a mutual enemey to bring motorists together....

start a group called Motorists Agaisnt Texting use your go pro cameras to catch people in act when you ridet up next to them and put them on youtube. Also get bumper stickers that say "I text and drive" and stickem onto them at lights.

Ohhh I like this idea!

Can't tell you how many times I could have been killed by someone texting, but I'm sure my GoPro could!

make me some bumper stickers this would be hilarious. except I live in the woodlands so I would most likely run out of stickers before I even got a few blocks away from my house stupid teenagers
