so in the first video, who would be at fault? The rider hit the car, but the car jump out in front of him causing him to hit the brakes.

Car fault but as a friend said, "he would have been better off letting himself slow down enough to hit the car and fly over the hood" LOL

It looks like the bike landed on him!

Don't think "let go of the handlebars" is typically a good piece of advice, lol.

I've heard it's good to really relax your grip but never to let go entirely.

Well from experience I had one back in 99' doing about 80 cruising with a buddy up over 2920 before it was a four lane highway. I didn't let go, but I did loosen my grip just a little and let of the throttle. The bike folded anyway and I wet fingers fast into the concrete followed by my face. I was wearing gear and if it wasn't for that I might not be here. I took a pretty big hit to the head. That scared the out of me and I have never rode without a damper ever since.

I lived. Just had to drop out of college. Kinda hard carrying around all my books with one crutch, banged up lung, and finger condoms covering up the exposed cartilage or bone. Not to mention the road rash they ever so generously scrubbed out. Felt great. Over all my pride was hurt and I was more upset about my bike after the fact. How did yours turn out?

I had a bad tank slapper bitwen gut-check and the launch (MSRH) on the first track day this year with Ridesmart. There was a slow rider in front of me and a fast one behind me. Coming out of the the gut -check we decided the slipt the slow rider in front of us, I took the left and the fast rider behind me took the right. I guess I was holding on to the handle bar too hard and I went to some bumps on the road which cause the bike to give me the tank-slaper of my life. It was so hard, it made both of my feet out of the foot-pegs and I begin to climb the launch thinking this was it. I'm going down. My arms up in the air, my feet dangling from the side of the bike and I'm looking at the right turn passing me when all of the sudden the bike stopped shaking and I grabbed the handle bar and I somehow made that right turn on the dirtiest part of the track. It took me the next 3 turns to fix my line. I hot pitted right after that but when I went back out my confidence level was "ZERO" I had to call it a day... :( But I was so happy to be able to take my bike back home all shiny and in one piece
