That stinks-rider down...

Police: Motorcyclist slams into garbage truck

HOUSTON -
A motorcyclist is in the hospital after he slammed his bike into a garbage truck in west Houston.

Investigators said the rider was speeding down Briar Forest near the West Sam Houston Parkway South around 3 a.m. Thursday. Police said the garbage truck was pulling out of a business when the rider ran his bike into it.

"He was ejected from his motorcycle and ended up underneath the truck," said Javier Tapia with the Houston Police Department.

Tapia said the rider sustained head injuries, including a fractured skull. He was rushed to the hospital in stable condition. Police said they don't think the rider was wearing a helmet.
Better a garbage truck, than a sceptic sucker.. :-)

KPRC may have gotten their info from an HPD spokesman who was not at the scene and did not have all the details

I like how the rider ran his bike into the garbage truck who was doing nothing wrong, other than pulling out onto the street in front of the bike.

Imagine if you will for a minute....

It's dark.... far, far off in the distance you see a tiny little light.
the post limit is something like 35-45 mph.

Little do you know or that you can tell that little light is moving @ 80-90mph+

What's the speed limit on that road? Is it completely dark? No lights at all? Since the biker is not well, we only have the story from the garbage truck driver... we all know nobody would ever lie about causing an accident. Just saying. It seems as if they know the truck pulled out in front of the bike - that much is obvious. I'm curious if they know he was traveling at a high rate of speed due to the collision or the driver's story.

It's a problem I have to question everything.

The better question is why was the guy out at 3 am? Nothing good happens after 2 am.

Trash doesn't get picked up at 3am, either.

When we go out and the bar closes at 2 and we linger in the parking lot with friends or go eat; we normally don't get home until 4. I'm the designated driver, so I remember these times.
