It's official.

I am the new owner of a 2010 Kawasaki Ninja 250R Special Edition (what is special about it is beyond me). The papers were signed today and the bike won't be picked up until Friday which will allow me to make arrangements for pickup and transport.

Props to Michael Mills of Team Mancuso Powersports Southwest for being real chill and making sure I was taken care of. I even got an awesome chocolate cake. I'll take pics of it when it arrives but I can show you a whole slideshow of pictures that the dealership took. The link has been posted for your convenience if you care.

It's cheap to buy and I bought it because it will be cheap to own. It will be a nice alternative to my car which I will still use more often than not. I also met IrvGotti421(?) of this forum. Cool dude and he was wearing his MotoHouston shirt which looks nice. Anyways, the bike looked awesome to me so while I haven't even acquired my gear and course. I snatched at it and I'll get the aforementioned things before I use it for any sort of commute.

Yeah I bet it was dropped on both sides but I don't care. It's my first bike and I will drop it myself. That's why I didn't want a new bike. I got a nice deal for it. It wasn't really "sick" per se but it was reasonable and there is a warranty on it. I was looking around Houston for two-tone Ninjettes and this was the cheapest one out of those in good shape.

Oh you never know, you may not. Don't resign yourself to a mishap before it happens. I never dropped my first bike. But the 2nd....I messed that thing up. Twice!

09 Kawi ZX6R (RIP)
09 Kawi 250R SE (sold)
2008 Kawi ZZR 600 (sold)
2008 Kawi Ninja 500R (sold)

And so it begins....

LOL I bought a Ninja 500R as my first, less than 5 yrs ago--to commute and save $$. ROFL I've since owned 5 more Ninjas (2 currently), have bought so much gear, tires, upgrades, a bajillion track days, and yeah. I should have just paid the $4/gal for gas in my SUV. I would have saved a ton of $$. LOL! But it's sooo much fun, and you'll meet some of the best people that become your extended family. So...welcome to the addiction, as they say.

BTW, the SE is bc of the color scheme. Nothing more.

EDIT: Jarrod beat me to it. LOL!
