Thinking about hitting the track for first time

Hey all, been considering taking my bike to the track for some time now. Finally wanna be done playing with the idea and just go do it!

Anyway it's looking like I could go next weekend to TWS (Texas World Speedway) w/ ridesmart or MSRH w/ fastline. If not then I would have to wait until 6/22 to hit MSRH. What do you guys think? How quick do these events usually fill up? It still looks like I can still register on the respective websites... Tho I prob need to do it TODAY for nxt weekend to happen. Also not sure how I would get to the track. Guess I could rent a trailer and borrow a truck bc I drive a Subaru. Also, what happens if there is a downpour the day of?

Any help for my noob is much appreciated!

Do it. It's a blast. I finally went after years of riding the road and wish I would have went sooner.

Ridesmart you can get 50% and free leather boot rentals.

Fastline will have less people in novice. Ridesmart novice is crowded.

Thanks everyone whose replied so far. I've got some contacts at both Ride Smart and FL.

Discount info for FS would be much appreciated! Already have a 50% for Ride Smart.

I can't wait to get the show on the road. I want to learn some serious riding and most of all, have a blast out there

Is anyone going the days I mentioned? Would be cool to know someone whose gonna be there before diving into this. Also would be cool to meet up before hand - I wanna make sure my bike is prepped properly and all my ducks are in order.

Will update with the day I choose.

i will be at the Fastline day (also the day MH BB). We also offer free leather and boot rentals for first timers. Fastline is offering a discount for early registration. as far as getting to the track, post up what side of town you are on, and someone might be able to give you a lift. any questions or concerns, feel free to PM me. the 26th is going to be a blast, hope you can make it!

Awesome. Thinking that might be the day I choose. I am located in Katy west of Houston. If anyone is going from my area I will forever be in your debt if anyone could give me a ride I will gladly hook it up with gas money. Getting there is the only kink left for me to work out. 8328584178. Feel free to text if you are heading to TWS (Texas World Speedway) or MSRH next weekend.

Cool. Got a couple more...

1) do mirrors need to be completely removed or can they be taped?
2) how much gas is sufficient for all day?
3) what's the best way to disable the brake light? Pull fuse or simple wire disconnect?

1. you can leave them on but you have to tape them. It would be better to just take them off.
Less to break in case u fall...not likely your first outing but you never know.
2. Full tank plus 5 gallons should be fine.
3. whichever is easier

Have fun man!!!
