Mac repair shop

I got a pretty beat up G4 from my friend and wondering if there's any decent Mac repair shop for reasonable price.

It needs to:
Replace the screen
One of the key's missing
Hard drive doesn't work
Maybe replace bottom part cover

Let me know.
Thanks!

Mac

Sure it's a G4? Looks like a G3 I think.

See if you can find the parts on ebay

I'm going to take it to apple store at Galleria during the lunch.
But I have this feeling they probably will ask somewhere around $600-$800 to repair.
Not sure this computer is worth fixing for that much.
I was wondering if I could cut the cost down to 30-50%.

It's G4 powerbook.
If I find parts on eBay, are you going to fix it for me?

apple made g4 titaniums. sure it needs a screen or just a new case. looks like the hinge broke off at the case. If it doesn't boot up because of the hard drive then it might be a little cheaper. 1k will get you a new macbook. Might be worth ebaying it for junk g4s to rob parts off of.

It's a common G4 Powerbook's problem to have that attachment to break off.
I know two people have exactly the same problem without their fault.
I do need a computer, that's the fact.
At this point, not sure I can really spend $2-3K for G5 Powerbook Pro...

Those things are so slow by todays standards that it might not be worth the time and effort. They only had 500 mhz motorola processors. my new macbook has a 2ghz intel duo processor.

Not worth it if it's THAT much.. 800 bucks? For another 200, you could get a brandnew macbook. Hopefully it won't be nearly that much.
