Have I got a story for you guys.

Okay. Last night I got the itch so I headed out riding. I was on my way through College Station and was passing right by Northgate(the bar area in CS). Right as I was in front of the bar drag, something caught my eye 200 or so yards away. It was some random college guy running across the road. He just ran out, full speed and never even turned his head to look. Lucky for him there were no cars coming.
After seeing this, I just felt that something wasnt right, so i covered the brakes and started scanning the road more intently. I was still rolling about 40-45mph, when literally out of the darkness came a second guy running into the road. No more than about 10 yards in front of me when I saw him. He was at full sprint, and like his friend before had run straight into the 4 lane road without so much as a glance at traffic.
As he darted out into the road I had that moment that seems to last forever. That moment where training and experience take over. I was ready to steer the bike into the path he had just left. I was going to slide behind him and go on my way.
Well, within that split second it all changed. He looked up! There he was starring at me like a dear stuck in headlights. He shimmyied back and forth.
It was at THIS moment I was sure I was going to wreck. If it were just me dodging him, or him dodging me then we would be able to miss each other, but it was both of us dodging each other. This was sure to be a serious wreck, and this guy was going to get hurt bad.
Again, all this stuff was going through my head in that half a second that lasts forever when youre in a situation like that.
So, at the absolute last instant I went left and he went right. I caught his torso with my mirror, arm and right clip-on. The clip-on being hit slapped the bars to the bar stop and got the bike wiggling around something fierce. The tail came around some, then stuck again near highsiding me and the bike. The steering dampner saved this one.
I got the bike under control and slowed it to a stop in the road.
I looked over my shoulder really quickly, expecting to see this guy in the road writhing in pain.
He wasnt. He was up and walking away. So, I busted a U-turn and was going to go talk to the guy. Half of me wanted to make sure he was allright, the other half wanted to give him a piece of my mind.
When I got to the parking lot he was heading to, I parked the bike. Before I could even shut it off, take off ANY of my gear or even get off the bike, THIS GUY IS WALKING STRAIGHT AT ME TALKING SH*T!
I get off the bike quick and this guy is already in my face threatening me and asking "why the i hit him?"
---this is where it gets good---

Im , just near wrecked and all due to some jaywalker running into the street without so much as a look at traffic. Now this guy has come up to me talking sh*t, being aggressive, and threatening.
So...i punched him in the mouth...with my armored glove...my titanium armored glove:icon_bigg .

He fell to the ground instantly, grabbing at his now bloodied mouth.
I rode away quickly.

So, no damage to the bike. The mirror had spun around and scuffed the windscreen, but it rubbed out at home.

Go ahead and hate on me, I dont care. He learned his lesson.

Turning back to see if the guy was alright, and he jumped in your face?? You did the right thing dude. He could have had a weapon, and quick thinking on your part prevented his chance of pulling it on you.

Drunks suck.
