WELL, I FINALLY made my first voyage on the bike this morning to work....she rides SO MUCH BETTER than my initial test ride (as I suspected). List of items completed over the last week or two.

New Dunlops - Thanks to WWH for the rubber and MagicMan for mounting them on the wheels
New Chain & Sprocket kit - Thanks again to WWH and thanks to Bean on here for helping me break that countershaft sprocket nut loose. that thing was on tight!!!!!!!
New aftermarket tail & and fender eliminator (customization for plate placement done by yours truly)
New rear hugger
Drained all fluids including oil, coolant, front and rear brake lines and clutch lines (it's hydraulic).
Need to swing by HouseofPaint to pick up the new air filter and then over to Motorcycles Unlimited for some suspension tuning....

This is my face today. Huge thanks to Flyin'Duc for the affirmations and info....this guy is an excellent over the phone diagnostic genius!!!!!!!!!! and a great friend.

undertailinstalled zps6f1c07c4

Leftsideafter zps7ea5a9d1

no, the undertail is retro enough for me...as is the bike. The closest to LED's I'll get is the two white LED license plate bolts/lights I had to install to be legal....figured that plate is far enough back that any LEO will see me as a responsible individual. No fur, unless I crash her and she is irrepairable.

Nice bike. I wouldn't mind adding one to the stable one day. Are you going to install flush mount turn signals up front?

Thanks guys. Tim, I'll get over to you soon enough so you can ride her.

I thought about it, and probably will eventually...but I like the idea of approaching vehicles knowing when I'm going to turn....the ones on the back don't bother me as much knowing my lane change is usually complete before I hit the signal switch.
