Looking for a good shop in League City area (South Houston)

Hey all, a buddy of mine pointed out that the fork seals on my RC are leaking and I keep going back and forth on wether or not to do it myself. Anyone have a good shop in the area they would recommend for either the whole job or to buy the parts to do it myself from. I have a good thread with PN's, but I don't know if there's a local shop that has comparable prices to online. Thanks.

I think I called them, but google had it listed as X-it cycles. Their price was really good. Thanks for the recommendation.

Unless something has changed that I am unaware of, X-it Cycles and EBR are not the same shop!

I do not recommend EBR. They bought out X-it cycles. I took my bike there to have a HID lights put in and the moment I pulled out of the parking lot I started having problems. Turned around and brought it back and after they looked at it they said I bought a cheap eBay item and needed to order a new kit. So I left and about a week later I decided to look into it myself and fixed the problem. Whoever did the work didn't have the right electrical fittings so he just taped the fittings together when all he had to do is drive .03 miles down to the auto parts and get the right s**t. Another time I had them do an oil change and adjust the chain while I was out of town and when I call to check on it the person said everything was done and it was out on a test ride and they just needed to add the oil and then I could come get it. WTF so ya not going there again.

I would not recommend EBR. I would STRONGLY suggest you go elsewhere.

Please elaborate Obed, I trust your opinion but I've always known EBR to he an outstanding MX cycle shop. I had no idea they were branching out into non MX parts and service.

Thats the thing, they are good at MX, not street. lol I have people come in saying that EBR forgot to tighten oil drain plug, or not put coolant back in or having a tub of JB weld in the back. scary stuff

Another vote AGAINST X-it/EBR. Rode a bike there to fix a lighting problem. Couple days later they couldn't diagnose what was wrong and now it wouldn't start, either. well I lived close enough to push the bike home until I noticed there was no sloshing when I rocked side to side. Pushed it to a gas station, pumped a gallon in and it started right up. Idiots drained the gas tank (not a bad idea, I get that) then couldn't figure out why it wouldn't run.

Thanks all, I guess I am going to order the tools and try to do it myself. From what I read on another forum the Rc51 forks are not depicted well in the manual as it shows the 00-02 SP1 forks and the guys (and gals) who try it themselves end up using a CBR1000 manual to do the job. Point being I've read horror stories of shops trashing forks and their bike being in the shop for weeks/months. Plus one of the local shops that is a sponsor on here wanted $50 for the seals alone when I just ordered them from a Honda website for $15. Oh well, Thanks again.

EBR is outstanding for suspension. I had them do mine on my race bike. They also have done several things for my brothers also and they have been done very well. Unfortunately if your not a MX guy you won't normally get the best service. They also don't like to mess with cheap stuff. They like all the high end stuff on everything. So if you did buy a cheap light kit off of ebay they probably didn't even care to work on it.

Egret Bay/518

I recommend visiting Elson at Texas Cycle Center, from personal experience he won't fix something unless it needs fixing. You can trust him to do what he says he will, and won't rape your pocketbook

His reviews speak for themselves.

"For now" meaning I do not plan to make a career out of selling parts, as there is no money in it for me.
I am looking into bigger/better in a matter of time.

For the mean time, if y'all have any issues with EBR please allow myself or them to explain or help out in anyway!
We are looking into becoming a sponsor soon. Look forward into doing business.
If you happen to drop by or call up, please tell me(Justin) you are an mh member. Special discounts apply!
