DRZ 400 Petcock

The petcock on my DRZ does not have an "off". What can I do to stop the flow of fuel when I take the tank off? I need to get to the spark plug.

Doing great dude. You still using those speakers?

So I read somewhere that this petcock is "vacuum operated". Does that mean the flow of fuel is cut off when in the on position unless their is a vacuum sucking the fuel out?

You could use a screw and a clamp.

It's a vacuum petcock, nothing will come out beyond what's already in the line. Just take the line off the carb by pinching the clamp with some needlenose pliers. Some gas will leak but not much at all.
