Actually being legal is....up to you. It should at least appear legal to participate in the ride.....headlight, taillight, plate. Insurance coverage should be a no-brainer, and you can add a second bike to a policy temporarily for maybe $30.00. I know in the $200 - $500 purchase price range titles are always an issue...

Update: the party / ride will take place the evening of **** Friday, Sept 27th ****. We will try to incorporate one leg of the parade / ride with Critical Mass' Friday night 250+ person inner loop bike ride. Kickstands up at 7, meet at the party spot around 9.

Romeo, the rules are loose so that creativity isn't stifled, and to be sure builders don't get priced out of the competition. If you build bikes from parts you have on hand, just use common sense on what it would cost the average guy buying scrap parts at a swap meet or out of a garage, and I'm sure the other builders would be cool with it. I can only imagine how fun it would be to have Sam's inventory at my disposal for this! PLEASE, build one!!!!

That I know of, there are 9 committed builds. I am getting excited. Bikes that are already purchased and being considered for the build include a old school Ninja 250 streetfighter $400, DR350 dirtbike $600, Seca 600 UJM $400, Naked GSX500F $500.

There is no rule against team builds to spread the effort...
