well that sucks for them, but not all that suprising. look at their results...

first race of the year...

one bike did not finish...the other didnt even start

come on now...you cant be suprised no one wants to sponsor them...

maybe they would be more succesful competing in a different league?

yea, i know there isnt really a different motogp leauge. what i meant was they might be better off in world SBK, or some other championship. i think their chances in motogp are pretty slim.

The bike specs only apply to MotoGP, so that bike can't run anywhere. Well maybe it can fall in some other category but i doubt that.

Everything else is based on production bikes. You have to produce X number of bikes per year for it to qualify. MotoGP is one-off prototype bikes. MotoGP is where they belong.

Foggy Petronas bikes should have been in MotoGP instead of WSBK. And the WCM/yamahas from the last couple of years should have been in WSBK..

It was their first motorcycle racing EVER. Just barely past the shakedown tests. They were on 800cc's, everybody else was on 990cc bikes. Kawasaki ran the whole season with 2 riders. Ilmor ran 1 for 2 races.

Genius.

well true, i dont know their whole story. i did look up the last years standing though...obviously the two points make more sense since they only ran two races...but it still not great. especially if they did it to get the bike ready for this year, and they lasted 7 laps.

(ok, im just being a hater now, lol...no need to take me seriously, haha)

I think it did actually. They signed some british car mall type sponsor after his announcement and are now funded for the season. I'm not sure how quickly these deals come together, it could have been in the works before hand. Never can tell with that guy. lol
