i don't consider alpinestar one of the top manufactures for race suits. for those i'd look at the Ride Smart Taichi, Pilot, maybe even Arlen Ness. not to bash alpinestar, t hey make good gear, i myself have an alpine suit.

I have had some A* stuff before and never had any issues with them. Can't say anything about the race suits, but I get most people giving it good praise. Right now as long as the price is right, I just need one to get on the track. Won't be any time soon, but if a deal comes along I am all about it.

Look into back and chest protection.

Too late just bought an A* bionic. That's more for under my jacket but ill need something for leathers once I eventually do get them.
