I think the most important lesson that can be learned here is it can happen to anyone. Its best to sometimes just slow the down and enjoy the ride. After all its about enjoying the ride right? At the end of the day when you make it home safe regardless of whether you one the RR trophy or not you still have that great feeling.

! Glad the rider is OK!!

Those roads are not designed for high speeds!! If you want to go fast take it to the track!!

Why you guys are blasting triple digit speeds in roads designed like for 45MPH?

I see it all the time in the Forest (149), sport bikes blasting at least 90MPH.

If the people riding bikes on these roads will keep the posted speed limits, accidents will be minimal. Is not 362 where they have the blue signs with the total number of motorcycle fatalities in the year?

Again close call for the rider and glad he walk alive of this one. Only a nice destroyed bike, hopefully cover by insurance and new higher insurance rates when he renew the policy.

Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength-

I have footage from POV of me high siding my baby buell into a ditch. Got trapped upside down in the ditch with leg under the exhaust for about 40 mins. Highly Entertaining.

Far too many to list.
Sad thing is there will still be many more to come.

This is why I don't do these public rides anymore. Half the people there come to show how "fast" they are and there is always going to be someone riding over there head try to keep up.

I learned to keep our "swift" rides private invite only. Funny, since then there was no more crashes on our riders.

As long as there are "TT", " Out" and even "Moderate" rides posted for anyone who can twist the throttle in a straight to see, we will continue to see these SMR crash and RIP threads.

...... I'm sure if you ride leaders get with a mod to create a private section "invite only" to post these types of rides on the various forums, this would help as well.

Nope. Was doing a test ride right outside my neighborhood, in the country, and it was about 40 out and pee sized hail an hour before. Was actually glad none of my neighbors drove by to see me. With the top of the bike pointed towards the bottom of the ditch I didnt have long enough arms to push it off of me and couldn't get down to dig my foot out. Was glad I was wearing my boots and teflon coated pants. After a bit of mild panic I finaly used my other leg and kicked the bike off me. No damage at all to bike or rider, just ego...
