Wreck Scene from Fayetteville Ride May 5th 2013

All,
I am posting this short video to demonstrate how violent and dangerous a motorcycle accident can be! Notice the totaled bike and how far away the rider was from the point of impact.

Luckily, whiteKnight went home with relatively minor injuries (thank !).

His bike went off of a curve on 362, drove through a small field and hit a ditch. The rider was ejected, flew over 2 barbed wire fences and landed about 40 feet away. Please think about this before jumping into a high speed ride. There are definite consequences.

Those tires look brand new. Is that the problem or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

No, too fast into a curve.
Tires were not the issue.

Wow, the rider was released from the hospital with minor injuries? He is very fortunate, indeed.

Fractured ankle and compression fracture in his back. He said he would be ok after a few weeks.
Lucky, lucky, lucky.

I once hit a worker knelt down plugging some emissions test machine on the emergency lane going 55 and she was released with bruising only. Nothing broken or torn. My Blazer looked like i hit a light pole.

Sometimes people just get lucky.

Yes! It has been known to happen quite often. I think if they have a lot of gas in their stomach, it acts as an air bag internally.. Did she fart on impact?
