Rossi was the first rider I have ever seen hang out the leg. I THINK, what works for the best must work for me, I will do what he does. Make sense?

I really tried hanging my leg off and hard braking....just to see. My conclusions were....nothing. BUT, I am not on a 2 million dollar MotoGP bike either, and I am not one of the fastest idiots in the world. I do however constantly look to see how I can push the envelope, what will give me the edge, what will stand me out from the crowd. This is where I look to physics.
I cant find a physical benefit anywhere......just mental, which is 60% of a racers success.

I just asked the boss. Denied leaving more than an hour early. Saturday after I spoon on a new tire?
Lets do it. Turn 1 TWS (Texas World Speedway)?

If used for blocking ... make sure Marquez is not behind you or he will tear it off

I've only done it twice. By accident. 59s to 610 north and 59 north to 610 south. Hit the expansion joint, foot slipped off and I was holding for dear life with outside leg dangling.

Its used to get the best feel possible when braking. The leg dangles, and under hard braking the leg is shoved forward and you get a better feel when you fight the force of hard braking with your leg muscles... Think about how you stick your hand out the window going freeway speeds. If you don't force it your hand will go backwards, but if you put some force you you get a much better feel. It works the same way.

Its not for blocking, its not for more center of gravity none of that mumbo jumbo. Even rossi has said, he does it just because it feels better when braking
