I think im on the brakes harder at msrh then TWS (Texas World Speedway) but I dont count cuz im easily spooked lmao. also, the track surface at TWS (Texas World Speedway) most deffinently feels smoother then msrh. couple of rough spots and a load of tar snakes. Im starting to like it more then msrh.

TWS (Texas World Speedway) is a fun track. IMO, when it comes to TX tracks, it is my second favourite behind Cresson.

Like the greatest once said ... "And if you no longer go for a gap that exists, you are no longer a racing driver "

There was a gap and Marquez filled it. He is not at MotoGP to make friends.

I think it made the race more entertaining for sure, but I think if Marquez knew he was going to make contact with Lorenzo, that's pretty dirty. He was probably thinking about the points, but sometimes it's better to finish than to risk taking you and another guy out. Jorge had already established his line and had the bike leaned over when Marquez comes in pretty much vertical, since he was too hot, and stood Jorge straight up. It's not like Marq out-braked him into the turn, he just flat out took his line away...it's racing, but it was a dangerous move for sure and could have ended a lot worse.

Watched the race in it's entirety last night....I think Colin sums it up best.

That kind of thing happens around here, it happens anywhere in the world. It doesn’t matter whose side you’re on – take it or leave it – that’s racing motorcycles.”

No one really likes Lorenzo so it's ok what happened.

Lorenzo not a fan favorite since he broke Rossi and Rossi broke his leg trying to keep up. In qualifying Marquez almost got run over holding onto the bike too long, in a simocellis like move. and Rossi taking on the role spies played last year by crashing his bike heavily in qualifying trying to keep pace with lorenzo. So I think the concenous was let it fly.

Also interesting that the yellow card points system apparently did not come with any lower threshold. So effectively what that means is the rule will do the opposite of what they said was intended and allow more rough play cause you now build up points before on track penalty than before when immediate. Just like any other game the players will test to see what the refs will call and basically this set the tone, that the other guy has to crash and needs to happen several times before you get penalized.

Side note on the senna analogy, not sure if some realize but he's dead. I think Prost won that battle. It took him awhile to realize you could get killed and when he finally figured that out he was next.

only reason the pass was ok was the rossi precedent set in 2005. jlo left the door open too, shoulda closed it knowing that the corner is a place where people run it up the inside. if it wasnt for jlo, mm would have been in the run off area. racing for sure, looks like it might be an interesting season.

Great videos guys!!

I think Lorenzo knew Marquez was coming in there, saw Marquez and hit him anyway. That would explain why Lorenzo wasn't angry at the post briefing. It was a poor pass; but Marquez was, at least to me, obviously ahead. That 's ok in racing; but not appropriate at track days.
