It seems like there is a few years of supremacy for each manufacturer until every mom and pops got one then the next gen would switch to different makes. :dontknow:

I don't really think the R-7 was all that great. It was good looking and exclusive but I never read anything about it that said it was ground breaking.

now it THIS ever makes it into competition

THAT would be something.
I think bikes that make new ideas work and go away from conventional wisdom are where it's at. Right now my vote is still with the Britten!

I don't think any one on here has ridden' every bike every made. Maybe Lenno, who knows.
For what its worth, a recent moto mag nominated the current model gix 750 as the best sport bike ever made.
Of course, opinions are like a$$holes.

As far as all around versatility?
The SV650 is hard to beat.
She may be plain, but she can do everything from commuting to trackdays.

i've heard from several people that they were going to quit the 750 gp class, which would end production of 750s. i don't know if its just a bunch of bs but i loved my 750.

no way. with motogp going to 800cc, we are likely to more of the 750-800cc bikes coming out from the new technology.
