looking for guidance

So, we were on the SMR today and my friend's bike broke. Here's what I know.

He has a 2013 Yamaha fz6 and just about 2 weeks ago he put on a 2 brothers exhaust, the pipe only.

He was fine going up to 100+ before, but after the install he was having a hard time getting up there quickly, he was talking about getting a PC, but wouldn't be until next week/ a lil after.

Last night we wen't for a ride and he did good, was lagging from 80 to 100+, but he was still keeping up, this morning he was going a little slower, saying that his ride wasn't giving much speed, after a while, he was running on third and soon after couldn't shift gears without going at the same speed. Got stranded and got bike towed.

So we were talking that maybe, just maybe be the clutch instead. But not sure, he got his ride from Mancuso and still under warranty, but I wouldn't want him to go without an idea.

So if you guys could help out with a little guidance it would be much appreciated.

Unless the 2013 fz6 muffler is super restrictive, the new one shouldn't do much more than make it louder. Was there anything you had to remove/unplug to install the new.slipon that got overlooked?

I wasn't there when they changed it, but indeed was louder, probably a lil slower, everything seems to be in place, is it hard just to change a slip on? I have no idea on that.

It sounds like the clutch is slipping.
If you bring it by I'll look at it for you, no charge.

That's great, thanks, only thing is he doesn't have a way to move it, he'll have to wait to Mancuso to sort that out, but I def will tell him about you bro.

just like everyone is saying, clutch slip most likely. Prob started out with a mis adjusted cable that led to burnt discs.
