Wow is all I can say! Man I've learned more in one day at the track then I have in 9 months of riding on the street. Thanks to all the instructors who were very patient and exremely informative! I've learned proper body positioning and gained a lot of confidence in cornering.

The very first session I was nervous a little since I could see and hear guys in the advanced level just screaming by!lol But quckly I learned that I woudnt be pushed to do anythinbg over my limits and my personal comfort level.

The next few sessions the pace picked up some and we would all changed positions and followed the instructor to learn the line. After that we would lead and the instructor would follow us and observe our progress. I skipped out on the couple of session because once I got tired I started getting a little sloppy.

So I joined for the lest session which was pretty much a freestlye. Apply what you've learned and have fun. I must say that I'll be back and we'll probably end up getting a track bike because my 1k takes a lot wider turns and 600 would be a better fit for me at the track.

I strongly recomend that all noobs take at least one track day because it will make you a better street rider! Also big thanks to my boy Schmidie and his buddy for helping me out and letting me camp out with them!

I'm so glad u had a good time. Schmidie and Josh are track junkies and they will only feed your newly found addiction lol. One of my favorite things about track days is the company and new friends you make. It's a huge family.

BTW, there's a reason why they mention maintaining your physical fitness to help you through a TD in the classroom. It can be pretty exhausting and the more tired you are, the more prone you are to make mistakes. I'm glad you caught yourselves because its very easy to get caught up in the excitement and idea of "getting your money's worth" and trying to make every session. I'm happy you had such a good time and learned so much. That 1K is a beast on the track and with time and practice, you'll be able to work less to get it to do what you want.

Also, I never asked, but did you ever get your bike suspension setup for yourself? It's like $30 and a very good investment.

I was gonna get it done at the track but forgot about it. That's a cheap mod that helps a lot. I could tell on few corners that its probably not set up for my weight. It felt a little to soft and bouncy. Do you guys do that at Stubbs? If ya do then ill swing by on Thursday!

Hung is right. Especially for us larger people suspension can be quite important. The guys at Motorcycles Unlimited will take care of you. I found out I was sagging in my rear, and I had problems turning in. I even had a rider notice my bike as we were riding, and told me it looked to low in the rear. They adjusted my suspension with me on the bike and afterwards I definitely noticed. Huge improvement. It's more than worth it's weight in gold.

Like Neon Samurai said, don't let that track bug get ahold of you. It's highly addictive.
