instead of making excuses learn why and what to do to prevent it from happening again, cuz it will happen again. accidents are the final outcome of alot of decisions and actions, change 1 variable and you may have prevented the accident.

keep making excuses OP and friend and you;ll end up making them over again.

alot of these people who are postulating have been riding a while, you? months? 1 yr?

I will add that it is obvious that there is always SOMETHING that can be done to help prevent accidents like this. But really it JUST happened, talking about it is only going to him off.

Lets be honest, if I was up and was in the hospital and I had someone sitting behind their computer judging a video that doesnt really have much of a great view... I would be beyond .

TL;DR. Save your opinions until OP has some time to heal and reflect upon the accident. Until then, dont be a douche.

OP. Heal up Bro. Accidents suck but fortunately you will be (for the most part) just fine.

I have a ton of miles under my belt....I wish I had a quarter for each one.

That said, I have had one crash in over 3 million miles. Uh, off road riding does not count

I am almost positive I could not have avoided it.

Stop light. This is a "left turn yield on green", first car guns it and goes left. No biggie...until that second one thinks they got a green arrow and nails the gas.

OH ! I go hard left....plan was to go behind the and inbetween the car going straight. Evidently the straight car saw it and went right, I just caught the last 2" of the bumper and supermaned. 2, damned, inches......

Even the best of us cannot avoid crashes.

OH, I dont believe in the term "Accident". 99% of them can be avoided.

OH Come on now!! There seemed to be at least 50-60 ft of skid time on a locked up back tire..

But I give the OP his due. He was the one there in the seat...
I go thru that intersection daily either on the bike or the car. I know how interesting it can get there.

My advise is not to post anything like this on a public forum until you have settled with the insurance company. The only people that should see this is your lawyers.

Man, dont sweat too much what they say. MH has the usual devil's advocates. I saw the video too and that car just straight cut you off.

You can post a video of a biker on a red light with a cager rear ending him and someone on here will find a way to blame the biker.

Me too, car behind me ended up with the license plate behind the front seat. I barely got away by running the red, got hit but just enough to send me a little crooked but rode it out.

Hand on the clutch all the time.

Years ago on my Honda I was at 290 and huffmeister. Heard screaming tires, look in the mirror to see a cargo van coming at me diagonal, wheels locked up. Only choice was to gun it through the intersection, through traffic like frogger. Got under the bridge, threw away my underwear, went home and got really really wasted.
