At the minimum:
Helmet-Fulmer AF SS lid
Jacket-S&S Devil in the Details jacket with all the armor
Gloves-around town just regular gloves, occasionally gauntlet gloves
Pants-around town just jeans
Boots- occasionally tennis shoes to class it just varies how/where I'm riding. Should be getting some SIDI's shortly

I will also be getting knee/shin guards then next time I'm in H-town or SA and see a cycle gear. And hopefully this trackday season I will have a zip together leather suit that will replace some of that up there.

When I first logged onto MH: A helmet

Two days after the first attempt at stunting a phifty and learning just what asphalt can do at low speeds: Helmet + Gloves

A year later after the intervention of concerned fellow riders: Helmet + Gloves + Jacket

Rumor has it I've been looking around for some leather pants and boots.

Today I saw many people on bikes which I like.

However, the majority of people I saw had on minimal gear, helmet and gloves only (t-shirt or wife beater, then shorts and tennis shoes) The really cool guys had their helmets on the back.

I dont like to be rude to people about what they wear while riding, afterall it is their decision, but it saddens me to think what will happen to those people when they are part of an accident without proper gear. It seems to me that the majority of people who have never laid a bike down dont wear their gear. Even a minor spill at relatively low speeds without even a helmet can be fatal.

I even went in to work to pick up my check on my bike, full street gear, helmet, leather jacket, gloves, knee pads, boots. A guy I work with couldn't believe that I had all this gear on, he asked me was all that really necessary?
I'm sure you know how that conversation went.
