Just want to update. Pride hurt. Fracture in my foot and compression fracture in my back. As everyone said very lucky. I will be fine with a few weeks rest. As for the accident it was simply error on my part but lesson seriously learned.

You need to step up nothing. Keep doing what you are doing.
A great rider is one who knows when its comfortable or not. If you are not comfortable, back it down a notch and go home in one piece. No one is going to hand you a trophy for being the fastest guy on the road.
Besides, you were not riding a slow pace....it was just a wee bit slower than the front of the pack.
A great ride in my estimation because we all made it home safely...except whiteknight.

Hey man! I am glad you are relatively ok! You flew about 40 feet before you landed!
Crazy.
I am the one who kept you on the ground and called the ambulance. We just did not want to take a risk of internal injuries. That was scary man.

Go buy a lotto ticket asap!
If you had gone through both of those barbed wire fences instead of over them, it would have been a much different outcome.

Good post right there.
Talked to whiteknight via pm as well and he is definitely ok, he will be a better rider after this incident for sure...

WHITEKNIGHT.... You are 1 LUCKY ... Glad to hear that you are ok dude.. you know, when I first pulled up to the gas station and saw you on this ride, my first thought was, you should have not been on this ride, you usually ride on franks rides in group 2. But i figured you are smart enough to ride your ride. I have truly happy to hear you are ok, do not let this disappoint you, take it as a lesson learned, and this is REAL!!
