Smile SW Sunday Morning Ride May 5th.

pp46f zps0b6b45e4

SMRMay5th zps40277a65

Come Out & Join our 11th SMR of 2013

Time: 8:00 AM - 11:30 AM

Meet Spot: PP 46
La Madeleine French Bakery & Cafe (open for breakfast)
2675 Town Center Blvd N, Sugar Land

Kick Stands Up @ 8:15 AM

Pace: Noob Friendly to Moderate

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NEW RULES & REQUIREMENTS FOR OUR RIDE

Please read some basic common sense rules for this ride:

A. Keep at least 2 bike lengths distance between bikes at all times.
B. Pay attention to the road and the bikes in front of you.
C. Ride in staggered formation.
D. No wheelies or passing will be allowed for groups 2, 3, 4, etc during the ride.
E. When passing cars, don't slow down after the pass, leave room for the riders that may be passing with you.
F. Leave your EGO at home and Do Not ride out of your comfort zone!
G. Keep a constant speed, do not accelerate on the straights and park it on the turns, its all about being smooth!
H. YOU MUST HAVE INSURANCE UNDER YOUR OWN NAME, NO EXCEPTIONS!
I. Proper riding gear is a must! (helmet, gloves, jacket, boots etc.) No t-shirt & short allowed!
J. Please make sure your bike is running in good condition, check tire pressure/brakes and tire condition before the ride.
K. If you are planning to have breakfast, please arrive a bit earlier, first group will leave at posted KSU followed by the rest of the groups 10 mins later.

Additional Rules & Requirements:

1. If you haven't ridden with us for more than 4 SMRs please stay with the second group.

2. Each leader/sweeper of the group will be wearing a high visibility safety best to help riders to identify who they should follow.

3. Leaders of each group will have a riders meeting at the meet spot and sweepers will help with the head count at each checkpoint.

4. Only riders that have signed up for the ride will be allowed to participate. If your name is not on the list, you wont be allowed to ride with us. The night before each ride I will be print out a list of riders on each group and handed out to the leaders/sweeper of each group in the morning, this is the only way we can keep track of who was on the ride and help us do a more accurate head count at each checkpoint. MH members bringing friends to our ride are require that they sign up to this forum first and put their names on the list.

5. Will implement a buddy system on all rides requiring each rider to report to the leaders if his buddy is missing or left the ride early.

6. Each group will be asked to park together in the same area during each gas/water break, that way there is less confusion for everyone at the time of leaving.

7. At the end of each ride, everyone will need to sign off before leaving the group.

Speed Limitations of each group:

Group 2: Leader will keep it under triple digits on turns and moderate on straight roads.

Group 3: Leader will keep a noob friendly pace.

Group 4: Leader will keep a noob friendly pace.

Please understand that we have rules to keep our riders safe, it is a group effort and everyone needs to be on the same page to make it work but ultimately "You" are solely responsible for your "Own" actions!

I am glad a simple reflash took care of the problem, at least you know there was nothing wrong with the bike mechanically

Very true. I was crossing my fingers!

Service at GP Motorsports is very good so far despite a comment ive heard about them earlier. Plus im getting a new replacement gas tank on warranty to fix that paint defect on the right side for free! Didnt say anything about it but they noticed it and ordered the tank asap!
